2002 Dodge Ram Transmission Error Code
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 2X4 Pickup, Transmission locks up in 2nd gear after engine light comes on.
Just changed the solenoid pack and now I have code P0846 and P0700 can anyone tell me what this could be?

It is in limp mode and normally has to be reset by the dealer but Im not 100% on that. Did you reset the PCM after installing the pack? I am assuming you changed filters and fluid while you were in there?
Welcome to the site BTW.
Welcome to the site BTW.
If the codes are still there that means they are Active in the PCM which means you have a problem and it wasn't justa 'fluke' incident.
When was the last time you had a service done on the transmission? Could be a few things ranging from clogged filter, bad fluid, bad sensor or a combination of those.

From the book
P0846 is Pressure Swicth Rationality
P0700-TRANSMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM (MIL REQUEST)
P0846 is Pressure Swicth Rationality
Set Condition:
The DTC is set if one of the pressure switches are open or closed at the wrong time in a given gear. If the
problem is identified for 3 successive key starts, the transmission will go into Limp-in mode and the MIL will turn on after 10 seconds of vehicle operation.
take it to the dealer............................

This is an informational DTC letting you know that a DTC(s) is stored in the Transmission Control Module.
Erase this DTC from the PCM after all Transmission DTC(s) have been repaired.
Using a scan tool, read the Transmission Controller DTC and refer to the Transmission Category and perform the appropriate symptom.

I am getting the same code on mine. The only time it goes into limp is when i first start it and run it when it is cold after it warms up it is fine. I hooked it up and P0846 come back as the Trans fluid pressure switch. I am working on figuring out how to fix it.
