Default 2007 mega cab 4x4 hemi steering popping

07 mega cab hemi 4x4 steering popping, i can feel it in the steering wheel and pedals worse at lower speeds and 25-45 mph annoying been to local 4x4 shop they couldnt figure it out any help would be great. Also seems worse when turning right or going over any road imperfection at lower speeds

This is common with the 2500's. There was a recall on this, so you may want to see if it has been done, although even the fix is known to do it after a while as well.
There is a small amount of play within the intermediate shaft. That's the steering shaft..btw and it causes the clunk to move through the steering wheel and sometimes the pedals.
You can put a dab of grease on this part, but it will wear away and you'll need to apply it on again. Not sure if they make ana aftermarket unit for the Dodge's, but that would solve your problem. Def don't pay for another OEM junk part.

so the intermediate shaft is probably the problem? they did notice some shaft play, i believe borgensen makes a shaft, do you know if a steering box stabilizer would help? thanks.

I had the same problem w/ my 06 MC so I know how annoying it is. My local dealer replaced the intermediate shaft and that solved the problem. I've since put on about 25,000 miles and I haven't had the problem since.

Where exactly is that shaft is it the one you can see under the hood?
