Headlight bulb replacement..

Headlight bulb replacement..
Kind of a dumb question...but we all have them from time to time.
Headlight bulbs in there now are awful. So I picked up some better bulbs to put in but I can't get the fixtures to come out like the instruction manual says.
I undid the 3 or 4 screws as the instruction manual states but when I try to pull the fixture out to replace the bulbs they wont come. Both sides.
Truck is a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT.
P.S. is ****ty light output a problem across the 3rd gen Ram platform? Also have a 2005 Ram 3500 Laramie and it also has awful light output.

You have to unscrew the two torx on the inner side of the headlight (towards the rad) and there is one under the headlight that you have to go between then headlight and the bumper. Once those are out then you have to pull out the light. Sometimes it can be in there pretty good. Make sure when pulling it out you dont catch the top of the light on the bottom lip of the fender.
Also, you do not HAVE to take them out (although it is easier) but you can change them from under the truck. I used to do mine that way.
