I just wanted to know if the newer generation 4.7 (with 300hp) would swap into an 02' model Ram 1500 with 4.7? My 02' 4.7 has 192,000 + miles on it, and is still going good, but I want to get a jump on the next engine. Any help on this would be appreciated.

 

Not unless you want to change out a lot of other things like PCMs, harnesses and such.

 

If you're going to go to that much trouble, throw in the Hemi!!

 

Thanks guys, I guess I will just put another one like the original in it. I will probably buy another truck next year (4x4 3/4 ton cummings), and I will keep using this one to travel in. Thanks again.
