can bus fuse blowing

Default can bus fuse blowing

have a 07 dodge3/4 ton. the can fuse keeps blowing have no dash lights or courtsy lights. i went threw the charts from all data and the test are saying replace cluster is there anything i might be missing i unplug the cluster and the fuse does not blow. i use a power probe i can turn all the lights on. not sure what else it can be i replace the headlight switch just in case. did not work lost on this one

so when the cluster is hooked up, the fuse blows, but when you remove the cluster it doesnt blow? sounds like you found your problem. must be a short in the cluster.

I had the same issue, ended up being a wire that leads behind the radio. It was rubbed down to the wire and touching metal. I taped it up, moved it, and never had the problem again. Also, it ended up blowing some of my dash lights

I agree with AF HEMI, if you hare blowing fuses but remove the IC and nothing blows, well, thats sounds pretty clear and simple to me
