Default Need new tires

I need a new set of tires for my truck 2006 1500 with factory 20's.
I do some off road travel and lots of towing a 5500lbs boat. I would like to get new wheels some time but right now dont have the cash I was wondering if I would be able to run 305/55-20 with out any rubbing. or should i stick to the factory size

A friend of mine has that size tire and has had no issues.

I had a shot at 275/65/20's toyo's for 400 bucks, but they were sold ,out from under me. My advice, wait for a swap meet, but have the cash on you. They were a steal imo.
