Default Headlights on with Unlock???

On my 07 1500, when I hit the unlock button on the key, the turn signals and taillights flash, but the headlights do not turn on. I had on 07 Grand Cherokee before this truck, and the lights came on for 30 seconds or so when I hit the unlock button on the key. This is also what happens with my wife's 06 Charger. Is there a way I can "activate" this feature, or is it not a feature at all? I went through the owners manual and I can't find anything on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You need to look in your owners manual and there is a setting for "Courtesy Illumination" i bleieve is what it's called. You can set them for 30sec or 60sec or not at all.
I think it's in the headlight section of your manual?
If I remember correctly you have to have your key lock buttons handy. It's something like press your lock buton to lock your doors and then continue holding while you press the unlock button for 2 seconds together. Something along those lines.

Look in my signature and download an electronic copy of your Owners Manual and try doing a keyword search for it. Flipping through pages in a book can get tiresome and you might over look it
