Default 2005 hemi Ram1500 Whine from drivetrain ?

this is a new problem that just started the other day.

I have a whine coming from the drivetrain.
It whines on acceleration, sustained speeds and gets slightly
louder during braking. It comes and goes, but it happens about 70% of my driving.

Almost sounds like a bad rear end.

Ram 1500 Hemi rumblebee 2wd with posi 98,000 miles

Its definantly not the engine. I already addressed the pulleys, idler, serpentine belt, and alternator and fixed that noise.
Also, I had the U-joints replaced in the driveshaft 15k miles ago.

Any ideas? Oh trans fluid is clean and full.

usually whining from the rear end means bad pinion bearings or gear mesh. Either way you need to take the cover off and inspect now before later and go from there.

No the noise only changes in pitch with the speed I am traveling at.
There is no noise if I put the truck in Neutral and rev the engine.
The noise appears to be from the rear of the vehicle.

Ok I will open the cover and look inside.
First I will examine the fluid level.

thanks guys
