Default 4WD works, indicator light doesn't.

As title states, the first two years I owned it I never had a problem with it. Last winter, the 4WD indicator took a little longer to come on while in 4WD, like about 1/8 mile or so. I just shrugged it off that it was because of the cold. Now it doesn't come on at all, even after having it in 4WD for miles and 20 minutes at a time. Where can I start to hunt down the problem? I've read of a "indicator switch" that sends a signal, but have found no part # or any useful info. Thanks!

EDIT. 4.7 liter if that makes any differance.
