Default 04 Ram Speed Sensor Location

I need to get the speed sensor issued resolved and was hoping perhaps one of you all might have the quick answer to the location of it.

2004 Dodge Ram Hemi Sport 4x2.

I am under the impression the sensor is located on the rear passenger side wheel (amoung the brake assembly). Is this true? Is there one on driver side also?

Never had to replace a speed sensor so just want to get a heads up as to what I am in for. Doesn't seem too complicated.

Thank you fellow forumers!

Nope. It's on the rear dif. There's a pulse ring bolted on the back of the ring gear. The sensor is on the top of the housing.

The sensor on the rear diff is about 10 bucks and the most common. If that doesn't fix it there are actually two located on the transmission that are $55 a pop. My truck also had a "spare" fuse blow that gave all the signs of a speed sensor out so also be sure to check the fuse panel.

Fantastic! Thank you guys. Will check Fuse when I get back to truck later then go from there. Great Feedback!
