Default 2004 quad cab 5.7 4x4

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with the electronic throttle control on my 2004 quad cab hemi. The light comes on when I step on the brake and it feels like it is still trying to pull forward, but then goes back out as soon as i get back on the accelerator. It started on my way home a week ago when the pedal dropped to the floor and the truck attempted to accelerate without my input. I put it in neutral and pulled off to the side...while in neutral the throttle was still open causing it to rev up on its own accord. I turned the truck off for a couple of minutes and turned it back on and it hasnt tried to accelerate without me again but now the light comes on every time I come to a stop and it feels like its trying to pull forward until it comes to a complete stop ( it just goes back to regualar idle after that). I'm at a loss here guys. any Idea what could be wrong?

Is the light a red lightning bolt? That would point towards the throttle body or the electronics associated with it

Have you taken off the TB and given it a clean?
A lot of tar like build up can occur on the back side of the TB blade.
I wonder if you have this and it's causing the blade of the TB to stick???
Worth a look and theres amore than a few posts on this board showing you how to do it.
Worth a search and a try?
Al.
