Default Install lift springs and coil spacers

Hey guys I just ordered a Rough country 3in lift kit for my 02 1500 quad cab 2wd, itll be 10 days before i get a day off to install it. I was wondering if I ordered some 1 or 1.5in coil spacers could I install them on top of the new springs or would that cause a problem? Everything i have read said that the rough country kit gave only about 2in of lift after everything settled.

thanks in advance for the help

There has been some debate on this, but I believe we came to the conclusion that you should not do that. You can put all the lift on the spring inside the control arms, but they will only give so much

The more that is stuffed in that space, the more compressed the spring and a compressed spring has less give...the ride will suffer for sure

Ok thanks for the info i kinda figured there would be a problem without the cross member drop, Ill put the money towards wheel spacers. 5 on 5.5 hub centric, anything i should know about them i ready about their being problems with the studs but never looked into it enough to find the full story, Any place you recommended i order from?

as long as they are over 1.25" with stock 20s or 1.5" with other rims you will be alright with the studs, they stick out that far.

And not really, as long as they are hub centric you will be alright.
