4 wheel ABS???
The light braking makes sense. I know typically you are supposed to keep the pedal down, but when the truck is already going sideways, I'm not gonna just stand on the brakes just cuz the owners manual says that's how to use ABS. If I recall correctly as soon as I let off the brakes, the truck straightened itself back out, no steering (minimal if any) was required. I think it's mostly like Weed said...black ice is a ****
I think you might be right about the 4 lock-lo cuz once I did it I think just like you described it locked in. As far as ABS speed, I was going 50 when I hit the brakes and nothing happened. Please, More info on this hill descent you are talking about, I never heard of it before
It's not in the manual, but it does seem to work, I discovered it whilst descending a steep snow covered road last week, put the truck in 4-Lo and just let it roll without touching the brake or throttle, as soon as I did it seemed to disengage and the truck would just roll off, unless I stopped completely and released the brakes.
I'd like to try it on a steeper hill.....
