I have done a search for this and found very little info. So if I missed something let me know. My 2002 Ram truck started to have problems turning off the running & fog lights. After a few times of switching the headlight switch back and forth, the lights would turn off. This no longer works and I'm forced to pull the negative cable on the battery every time now to avoid draining the battery. The running & fog lights are on at all times when battery is hooked up and truck is running or not. Thanks for any info.

For the time being, try just pulling off the plastic facing and light switch and disconnect the electrical harness from the back of it. That might be easier than disconnecting the battery.

As for the issue itself, it sounds like you just have a bad switch.

The P/N for an 02 light switch with fog lights is 56045537AA

I also seen a few on ebay for sale.
