Default Air Intakes k&n?

Has anyone invested into an air intake? Specially the K&N saying its a 18hp gain? Has anyone bought one yet and had a noticable hp gain in performance? Or any other brands that work very well? Also roughly how much do they cost?

18 HP for the Ram???? That's pretty good. Just make sure you are getting a intake that actually gets cold air from outside the engine bay. Alot of intakes say they seal to get outside air, but really don't.

This is why I am going with a hood/scoop/functional setup. Sealed from the scoop to the intake. Just cost more, but get looks out of the deal.

i opened my mouth too soon. I checked on the k&n website. Its not 18 but is 10 HP gain on the Ram Hemi. Sorry, i thought 18 would been great too! But 10 isn't bad. And the price to answer my own question is about $300 for the K&N.

Your's is probably the most positive for gatting cold air to the engine. Bottom line is that you have to get the air from in front of the rad for it to be the coolest possible. The ones the take air from under the hood and inner fenderwell area are not getting the coolest air.
