The shackles don't have anything to do with your O/L spring. You have to unbolt the spring pack to remove the spring (it sits between your spring perch and spring pack). Many people here will tell you to do a search, if you search for 'overload spring' you'll probably find pictures.

I found that out that schackels have nothing to do with the leaf springs. I'm just stuck trying to find out on how to take out that o/l spring. Thanks hemi let me go do a search.

I still haven't found out on how to do it pic by pics i'm just a dummy still with this forum. Any ways i got to install schakel and delete o/l leaf but im having trouble trying to get in place the tit in the bottom of leaf spring pack.
Now everything is longer since o/l leaf is deleted, (the u bolts and that guide pin next to the tit bolt). I need help i'm stuck without using my truck. I'm not an expert but i'm not scared of doing work on the truck. I just dont have patience since i lost it in iraq.
