I'm not one to revive old threads but again, I can't say enough about the wealth of knowledge that's on this forum!

This manual is exactly what I needed. I have this same system installed on my 2000 Durango and today I was going to completely disable it. Now I think that I might be able to fix it.

The problem that I'm having is that when the doors are locked and the system is armed, pulling up on the passenger side door handle DISARMS the system. The truck has the feature that turns on the dome lights when you stick your key in the door lock or if you pull up on the handle. Apparently, the circuit that does this is also wired to the alarm circuit that shuts off the alarm. Possibly it's crossed with the circuit that senses when the door is unlocked.

Anyhow, I will report back my findings when I figure this out in case someone else comes along with a similar problem.
