Default 04 stake pocket weight limit

A simple and dumb question, or simply bumb, but I want to know if anyone knows the load capability of the stake pockets? Looking to put about 250 lbs in each. Ideas, warnings?

I have a rack to carry a Myers Manx (Fiberglass Dunebuggy) over the bed, but I need an extra support and thought it might be easy to use that pocket as a support. May have to go a different Direction though. I do not want to damage the bed sides.

I'm guessing you're using some kind of rack that fits in the stake pockets? If the rack is rated for that weight I'd imagine it'll work.

Yeah, I imagine as long as the weight doesnt shift you might be ok. But at 1K in the bed, you might had to look at air bagging the rear end also
