Hello Guys,
I was rescently installing a different stereo system in my truck, i have done many before and never had any problems. While I had the wires apart 2 wires touched for a split second (I have no idea which ones) and all of the interior lights went out (I was working at night). I noticed the little red security light flash at that point. I grab my keys and turn the ign on and everything comes back on, truck starts and runs fine, security light is off and life is good. Turn the key off and all power stops to everything as well. Power locks (remote transmitter included), interior lights won't work. Anyways, today I finish the job and get all the wires for the new stereo connected and ready to see if it works. Turn the key on and nothing works still. The only time I see the security light is switching the key from off to acc it flashes and has a little tone, and the same thing going from off to turning the ign backwards to acc.

My guess is something in the security system is blocking power when the key is off? I have checked fuses and all of them are fine. Anyone know how to reset the security system on this thing?

Is your key Grey or black? Does it have the chip inside of the key or not? IF you have somehow messed with a wrong wire and disabled that security system your truck will not start until you re-enable it.
Next time hook up your head unit out of the truck, then plug & play!!! Also, Always disconnect the battery when working on anything electrical... Speaking of battery... any chance you drained the battery? Check its voltage before you drive yourself crazy looking for something difficult.
