AC Clutch works but will not come on.
I have an 05 1500 Quad cab with 4.7.
Fuses and relays all check out OK. Condenser fan works. AC "On" switch works but the clutch will not engage. If I run power to the clutch everything works but the system freezes up and airflow out the vents stops until the ice melts.
Freon charge seems to be adequate.
I have replaced the clutch relay, fuses, and pressure switch.
Don't know where to turn from here.

What about the cycling switch? A clog can also freeze the lines.
You say your charge seems "adequate" but when the charge is too low, the compressor won't actually turn on until the pressure is high enough.
Make sure your cooling fan is working as well.
