I have had to have my Universal Joints replaced three times in 83,000 miles. Dodge claimed there was a problem with some of the parts they had. I do not off road or haul heavy loads. Minimal use of 4WD, moderate stop and go driving.

Right now I am getting a metal-on-metal hitting sound when pulling out from a stop. Not everytime, but most of the time. As I recall, this is what happened the last three times. The mileage on the replacements were 32K, 52K, 60K. I now have 83K on the truck. This is going to get expensive if we have to keep replacing every 20K or so. I intend to run this truck until at least 160K. Maybe more...

Anyone else recall this happening?
