Default 2002 Ram. No power

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500, 4.7L. The truck does not have any power unless the key is all the way ahead or the truck is started. The sterio buttons light up but i cant play music and it wont show the time. There is also a red circle light that i never seen before that is showing up when i turns the key back or forward. Can anybody help me?

What does the red circle look like? Possible you just have a bad/weak/dead battery? Have you tried jumping it?

My 2003 does the same thing...if I wiggle my key the radio will come on and off...I assume it's just a bad ignition...haven't swapped it yet. No light on mine though.

I'm the same as elliotdodge, pretty sure it's the ignition but I haven't touched it. Maybe I'll just jump the ACC wires and use a switch when I want my radio... lol

I back fed consant power to cigarette lighter and have power to lights and locks, but still not @ scan tool. Red light on dash doesn't illuminate now either.
When I changed the ignition switch (and had no change) I noticed the wires were a little black from too much heat. I bypassed the switch to power my windows, heater fan and radio. I used a starter silinoid which is engaged by ignition. It will stop the ignition from burning my truck up. I regret it now cuz i wouldn't mind my insurance company buying this basket case
so check for power @ lighter with ignition off, if no power then put power to it and see if that works for you
I'm guessing its a security related issue

and we're having a boy!

I would check all your fuses and also your relays. Could be a short to ground, cracked solder or weak relay. Peel back your entire fuse panel under the hood and verify there is no corrosion. I'd then spray battery terminal protectant all over the backsides of the connectors if they are not rubberized and sealed already. There's an electrical cleaner you use first and then the protectant that goes on. Both are available at auto parts stores. No sense of pulling it off if your not gonna protect it right?

If the fuse panel looks okay, then I would say your next area would likely be the IC.
