Default power seat fault

Hi, I have a '05 2500 SLT Hemi quad cab. My drivers side seat is powered and lately it doesn't want move back, it would move forward when my wife drives but when I try to put it back it doesn't want to move. I can hear the motor receiving power and only get it to move after continually bump the switch, once it gets more than half the way back it seem to move easier. I saw a thread about vertical movement my vertical movement works fine. Has anyone had this problem? How do you fix it? BTW I cant leave it where my wife puts it to drive cause there is a 11" height differance between us. Thanks for your help.

take a look under the seat for anything that may be binding when it is trying to move back. Get some litium spray lube and maybe lube the rails a bit.

I know I have seen guys look for replacement motors or tracts but no one makes them. If it is damaged or broken and has to be replaced, it is replaced as an assembly and not cheap.

Sounds like maybe what ever drives off the end of the motor is loose, like an allen screw or whatever holds the pulley or drive gear in place on the motor shaft.
