Default Anyone done a DIY alignment?

http://www.allpar.com/fix/alignment.html

Took a look at this and in theory it would work with a little time. Anyone else tried something like this? Seen a lot of people that say they'd aligned their older vehicles themselves and it worked well. I'm doing balljoints on one side and maybe cranking the t-bars, thought I'd give it a shot, if it seems hopeless after a few hours I'll just take it to a shop.
Also, what are the specs for front end alignment? These trucks are supposed to be picky I hear

I think I'll just give it a shot. Friend of mine might be able to get me a discount, I'll get to see how close I am

Well I'm pretty sure I could get it checked for free/very cheap after. If it's way off I'll have them do it

Yeah, any shop around here will check the front end for free. I think the cheapest alignment is around $40-50 for us.
