The airbag light now stays lit on the dashboard. At the start it will go out a short time, then returns on, and stays on. Any suggestions for first direction of trouble shooting? I have a 2002 2500 4x4 Cumins with 135000 miles on it. The tranny was just recently replaced, yet the light problem developed a week or so later. Thanks for your help.

 

99% of the time it's the clock spring. $40 part, about an hour to replace if you have or can get a steering wheel puller.

Dealers charge about $300-350 for the part and repair if you go that route...
