Default Folding Rear Seat Problem

Am I missing something?
It's an '04 QC with 60/40 flip-up rear seat and unfoalding load floor.
The 60 portion of the seat sometimes won't flip-up. It only goes about 20-30 degrees up from flat and stops. Its a very hard stop, like there's a latch or something stopping it.
Any ideas?

Look directly behing the seat and see if anything is limiting the back parts "up travel". The back slides up initially and then begins to settle down. Maybe the hooks are catching something on their "down travel"?
Also look and feel behind the seat as you may have something back there wedging the seat from going up all the way. If something like a book squeezed between the two portions, it can prevent the bottom part of the seat from going up because it's not allowing the top part to settle back down.

Default Definitely not a book, or something

I'll have to look closer tomorrow. Its a solid metal-to-metal type hit when it stops.
It doesn't do it every time but, when it does, it keeps doing it.

Default Figured It Out!

It was the little weighted "catch" on the left side of the seat, in the hinge area.
The one on the right side and the one on the left side of the small portion of the seat were moving freely. The one on the left side of the larger portion of the seat was sticking so it would catch when I was trying to fold the seat up.
Put a little Liquid Wrench on all three of them and it works perfectly now!

I had the same issue look at the hinges sometimes when it sticks you need to take a screw driver and push down on the inner parts of the hinge to depress the locking latch.. My 07 does it all the time and spray lube doesnt do a thing to help.. I just have to live with it I guess
