this is the battery i got..start fast and strong. i have had boats and the blue top deep cycle. this is a starting battery . seems to work good to me.

Boats require long periods of current draw thus requiring "deep cycle" batteries and the Blue top is an awesome battery for that. As I stated, the Redtop is marketed as a "starting" battery, but it is NOT suppose to be for that and can severly shorten it's life when used as a primary vehicle battery. Deep cycle batteries require long periods of little current draw, they are not meant for short bursts of massive amounts of current draw like cars and trucks require to start properly. It may be fine right now, but don't expect much life out of it. This is why Optima has had complaints about bad batteries. it's because they market the wrong crowd to make money.
Read THIS, especially the last sentence in the first part before the Contents box.
I'm not saying your battery is the cause of your problems, but I'd try to go exchange for a Yellertop if I was you. I still think you need a new T/B.

so this is a lie? i bought the battery in another state. i think i will keep it. seems to work just fine to me. it has a 36 month warrenty . if it makes it that far i will see i guess. it says it is made for /works with my truck. so you are saying it is a deep cycle battery?
