OK i have a 2003 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 its got a 5.9 360 in it.
The transmission wont shift until i let off the gas does anyone know how to fix this or what can be done?????????
Even though you technically have a 3rd Gen, your engine and transmission are common in all years of the 2nd Gen trucks. You may want to post over in that section as well, you should get a lot more and hopefully better answers there...
depending on when your transmission was made the filter seals can leak causing it not to accelerate even when you hit the gas. i recommend changing both filters in the transmission. it solved my problem
In the general discussion on the second gen page there is a post from Monte C " transmission corner" take a look through that to start. As stated above i would do a fluid filter and gov pressure solenoid change on the tranny, take a look to see if the bands need tightening as well.
