Default Mirrors don't always work

Took the truck to the dealer and to help diagnois the mirrors working intermintley. They said it was the switch and it would cost $150 just for the switch because it includes the window switches as well.

I found a used switch assembly for $80 (local junk dealer). Can anyone tell me how to remove the switches from the door? Do the cover over the switches pop up out of place and then remove the switch assembly? Or does the door have to come apart to get the switches out?

2006 Dodge 2500 C/C w/Cummins.

Thanks

On my 2002 the panel to which the switches are mounted just snaps into the armrest area.

Be careful as some of the tabs on mine are broken.

The door panel comes off pretty easily. Might make the swap easier.
