Trans Trouble
Gentleman,
So the last few days my transmission has been slipping up and down and dying when stopping at lights/signs. Tonight I don't have 3rd or 4th gears and it smells like hot trans fluid in cab but the light is not on. Several DTCs popped but I didn't have anything to write them down. Is there anything else it could be?
Programmed the truck with a Cortex (towing tune), on Tuesday I thought originally that the TCM was still learning the shifts. However the smell and no 3rd or 4th gear has convinced me otherwise.
And I've also noticed tonight that the input shaft on my front diff is leaking. The truck was just in the shop a few days ago and I didn't notice it then.

If you have an 06 and a superchips then pull the coded and post them. If they are P070(x) codes (trans) and you already know you are having slipping issues then it may be time for a rebuild or replacement
