how can i tell if i have a crew cab or a quad cab?

noob question. i wanna buy a sub box but i dont know if i have a qc or a cc. how can i tell? and wat will fit under my seat? 10s? i wanna get sum good speakers but sum r too long and probably wont fit?

and wats better 2 12 shallow or 2 10?

There is only one 4 door cab to choose from in a 3rd gen, besides a megacab. Call it what you want.

10's need less air volume. It's personal opinion, but I like 10's in a truck. I think they hit harder, apples to apples.

Also, if you really can't tell, a quad cab has 3/4 sized rear doors. But like olyelr said, you'd have to have a mega cab to get full sized rear doors.

a single good 10 with enough airspace (like a foxbox) will hit nice, Ive got two full 12s in mine and obviously dont have enough airspace, and they dont sound as good as id like.

to answer specifically, with you having an 04, you have a QC.

Ive got two Kicker CVR 12s in a sealed Foxbox. There are pics in my sig link gallery
