Default 2006 Ram 2500 Lowbeam Out. Bulb Ok.

i have a 06 2500 with 5.9L

My Low beam recently went out on my drivers side, so i changed the bulb and to no avail. The high beam works fine and there is no check engine light on. My Passenger side works fine but i have no idea whats going on. it looks as if there is no fuse or relay for the headlight, which im not an engineer, but seems not right.

may be possible that the module is fried?

Thanks

I haven't looked and any of the wiring diagrams for this but I would way you have a bad wire someplace in the system check right at the head light plug itself first and then work your way backwards thru the harness and all the plugs with a test light or a volt meter.
If the one side works but the other side dosn't that alone says it isn't a fues or the TCM

You can also switch the bulbs ( side to side ) just to ensure it isn't the bulb i have seen brand new bulbs not work !!!!!
Good luck and keep people up to date on what you find

hey now that you mention it, I put in a harness about 3 years ago that makes the fog lights stay on when the Brights are on. And to install it, it came with 2 T-Tap's that u put onto 2 wires. This may be problem, but im pretty sure im T-Taped onto the wire for the Brights

I talked to Chrysler this morning, and they said to try unplugging my battery for a couple minutes and it should reset if the headlight created a code. They also said i can try Flashing my Module and it may solve the problem.

Unplugging the battery did nothing, so im off to dealer tommorow to flash the Module.

I would put money on the problem being where you used the T-tap conectors !!!!
they suck and are prone to rot wires !!!!!!!

if you search for a member named Weedahoe he had put up a download for the manuals ( great guy he is ) I will post a link to his post with it i hope it works for you

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...-download.html

or you can search his name on the site and find it easy enough
