i watch power block tv, seen just about every episode. my question is what is the point of putting a cat-back system on when all it consists of is one stock pipe from the manifold to the cat, to a muffler and then 2 larger exhaust pipes from the muffler out(no headers)? wouldnt it be better to have 2 larger pipes from the manifold, 2 cats and 2 mufflers(no headers)?

 

Cat backs keep you legal. Thats why people use them. Plus most use them also for sound and looks. Sure true duals would be the way to go but Ive got around 1100 in my exhaust. Not a lot of people want to spend that kind of coin AND be illegal also
