Exclamation Shifting to 4x4

Having problems shifting between 4x4 and 2WD.

I have a manual transmission with electronic transfer case selector.

While stopped in neutral I can shift from 2WD to 4low, from 4low to 4high, and 4low to 2WD, but not 2WD to 4high or 4high to 2WD.

Any Ideas?

What do you mean you cannot shift from 2WD to 4Hi? 4WD blinks all the time? I never tried to shift from 2WD to 4Hi in neutral, always did this at speed because only 4Lo requires to be in neutral.

Yes the 4WD light just blinks and it doesn't engage (or disengage). Sorry if I wasn't clear, but it doesn't matter if I'm in neutral or moving, it won't shift between 4HI and 2WD.

I have the exact same problem. I have a 2007 Ram 2500 5.9L auto trans. Shift on the fly 2wd to 4wh does not work. I can go from 2w to 4wL in Nuetral then to 4wH and vice versa but not from 2wd to 4WH

Just a quick update. I topped up my transfer case fluid, it was only down a very small amount when I had checked it earlier, but it fixed the problem.
