hello. my acc charge port on the dash has died. Fuse is good. my cell phone charger quit working, I have replaced the cell phone charger, but the charge port is still not working.

I used to be able to use the cigerit lighter as a charge port for my cell phne and I pod charger, now the ciggerit lighter is blowing fuses, even with the new cell phone charger, were as this never happened before.

Do I have to take the dash apart to install a new acess charger socket?

 

Those sockets are pretty simple devices. Look down into it and see if anything is bent and touching causing things to short out and blow fuses. If nothing else you can change out the sockets and if you need some please LMK, I know a guy who can get them for you

And yes you have to take the dash apart to change them out. They pop out from the back side

 

Thanks for your help. I'm not prepared to rip the dash apart, for a charger port, you should see what I did to the fuse cover pannel, lol to get at the fuses, I broke one of the plastic latchs and clip from the latch was still holding the cover on.

I don't have a charge port in side the flip down console as I did not get the up graded seat package.
