Gear oil and trutrac diff
Hey guys just picked up my trutrac out of Montana on Monday and brought it back along with a bunch of coors original back across the boarder
I know eaton states not to use synthetic and friction modifier is not needed for the trutac. The ram service manual states use 75w 140 syn. GL-5. the eaton manual states use the proper fluid for the manufactors axle. kind of a catch 22.
Im going to pick up some conventional gear oil but im not sure what weight to use. Is there any advantages to using 80w90 vs 75w90 for our 9.25 rear ends?
Im just looking at picking up some traxon 80w90 gear oil or maybe lucas then get this diffy installed next week.

You can run syn. w/ the DTT, I do w/ mine and haven't had any issues w/ it in more than 15k miles. Since the manual doesn't say anything about break in for the diff. I think it's good to go once installed.
