It should. Temperature-controlled cooling fans have been around for a while.

 

Your 02 has a temperature element in the clutch mechanism. It simply may need to be cleaned is all.

I took mine out and went with an efan rig- I was more impressed with that simple mod than many of the highly touted and expensive mods. The parasitic loss of power just by that heavy fan is nuts... I rec you take this opportunity to go efan- it is FAR superior to mechanical/clutch fan in performance and added tq off the line.
