Default Resetting Computer?

Got a 2006 2500 SLT Hemi used, was thinking of unhooking the battery to reset the computer, any danger in doing this? Thanks

unhook the battery and turn the headlights on to drain absolutely all the juice.

you will also notice the truck seems to have more "pep", the truck learns how you drive so it can shift smoothly at expected rpm/mph.
I do it every oil change

The truck learns constantly. It never quits, nor does it ever learn at a faster or slower rate. If it drives better after a reset it means something is causing it to dial back the power after it's driven a while. Find the cause for that and the truck will drive its best all the time.

It's not running Windows so it doesn't need scheduled reboots!

Always a good thing to reset the PCM from time to time IMO
