Keyless Entry Pad?
When I had my Ford F-350, I purchased ($150) a "keyless" number pad that affixed to my door similar to the OEM's coming from the factory. I never needed a key to gain entry and if I was out somehwere, i.e. hiking, I could lock my keys inside the truck. When I returned all I had to do was enter a 5 digit code to unlock the doors. It had the same capabilities as the key fob.
So, to my question: I have spoken to my Dodge dealership who advises that Dodge offes no such device, can the Ford version be programmed to work with the Dodge system? Looking to you electronic guru's for some advice.

I have only seen this for fords. It seems you are the first that has had a use for it. I am a ford guy and always thought that it was the lamest feature around. My dads F-150 has it and had never used it in the 5 years he has had it adn my aunts Lincolns have had it and has never used it in 10 years. Thats what the buttons on the remote are for.
My wife's Explorer has it and we use it all the time. I like it because I don't have to search for keys when I need to get something out of it, I just go punch in the numbers. We can also leave it running with the A/C on for the dogs and have it locked. Just punch in the code and we are in. I find it rather convenient and I think that other makes should offer it. With all the brand bashing lately (Toyota and Ford esp) I can see Ford making a commercial where they use thier key pad while a GM person is waiting on the Onstar thingy to open the doors.
