Well last week i decied to remove my hypertech, and right after it was off i got a check engine light.... i took it to the dealership and right after they hooked up the machine it said to replace pcm!!! Very interesting, right after i deinstalled the hypertech my pcm went bad. All is good now, but i will never buy a hypertech again!!!! Oh and hypetech would not refund my money, im just glad i bought this from summit who refuned my money.


So just beware

Well you live and you learn. At least the dealship gave me the update for the tow/haul mode. It runs even better the hypertech gave me.

there is a flash update for the 04 ram 5.7, its for when your in tow/haul mode. The transmission hunts for gears when there is a heavy load. but even if it does not do that get it anyway. It shifts much better, and it revs out alittle more. it spins the tires much easier

 

Sweet. I keep telling myself to get the truck back to the dealer for that flash. Glad you got it running again.

 

Superchips did that to my buddy back in April. He was flashing his back stock and mid way through the flash it stopped. His truck never would start again. The dealer said they couldn't even contact the pcm with their own equipment. Took a new pcm.

 

That kind of crap drives me nuts...these guys should be shot for that stuff, and then do nothing about it. Buyer beware, I guess.
