Transmission Trouble (I think)
I was leaving work yesterday and my truck wouldn't start, so i had a friend jump it. It started up, but when I got on the street it wouldn't go over about 25-30 mph, so i drove it to a friends house and parked it. We shut it off and turned it back on and the check engine light stayed on, i put it in reverse and it had a pretty hard jump, but now it runs fine, besides having the engine light on. Any ideas?

Welcome to the site. Our trucks dont work well with low or dead batteries. I would replace that first and then go from there. The trans may be in "limp mode" but again, it could all be battery related.
I drove it over to Auto Zone and had them check the engine code for me and it was p0562:
Loose or missing drive belt
Alternator Defective
Battery Defective
Pool Electrical Connection
We tested the battery and alternator and they were both good, so i went home and disconnected the battery to reset the computer, and when i re-connected it everything works great, so I have no clue what was wrong.

My battery has gone dead a few times and 2 out of the 3 times because it was so dead I needed a jump. I had to reset the computer with my tuner(reload) because my truck was in limp mode. The other time I had to reload my programming because my alarm kept locking/unlocking my doors randomly...haha
Anyways, I re-programmed because I had to leave right away and needed to charge the battery. To solve the problem, a hard boot is recoomended. That is to disconnect batt for atleast 20min(or touch pos-neg while both disconnected from batt) to reset pcm.
