Default Need help with paint

Hey guys,
I painted my bumpers and bull bar a flat black. But the paint around the edges is chipping off. What can help keep it atring and not chip or peel?

better prep. a matte clear would help though

did you sand, wipe, and use a primer?

Yes, sanded wiped and used some rig primer. I haven't used a clear coat because I like the flat black look. Would the matte clear coat make it shine?

A matte clear coat may give it a little "shine" but not as much as a gloss clear coat. depending on how much chipping you have on the edges, you may be able to just touch up, then clear coat it all.

Rig primer? I'd try to sand it pretty rough and use an etching and wetland it before the bedliner or w/e
