Broken hood stud/bolt Help!

Default Broken hood stud/bolt Help!
New here and needing a bit of help. I just purchased a used 2005 ram 1500. I noticed that the hood had a significant gap(1in above fender) on the front passenger side. While attempting to adjust the hood, I broke the lower hood stud/bolt on the passenger side. How am I supposed to fix this? Should I just weld the hinge to the hood flange?
