2005 RAM 1500 QC
Hello everyone. I am new to this site and new to owning a truck. My wife and I just purchased (last Thursday) and new 2005 1500 QC Ram with the 4.7lt V8 and the T/H option. It is black with the 20" rims. I have to say thus far, we love it. It is roomy enough to fit my three kids in back and the ride is decent. It is stiff but it seems to handle very well for truck. I think it looks much better the the Chevy, Nissan, and Fords. I was under the impression the 4.7 lt was a Hemi as well. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but I thought Hemi was short for Hemispherical combustion where the plug faces down the center of the piston. If this is the case, my 2.0 lt turbocharged (422HP) Eclipse is a hemi too!
Anyhow, the 4.7 seems to make decent power but I'd like to get another 20-30HP out of it. Any suggestions (that arn't too drastic). Thanks
TT

Start by dropping in the factory rep-lacement K&N air filter in it, and opening up the exhaust--such as a cat back system. There are numerous threads thoughout the forum that speak to these topics. The two above are the simplest to start with.
