Sounds like that blend door in the dash unit. Search around on here, you'll find the fix.

Welcome to frozen feet club. Sounds like a broken defrost door. Check here for tsb info.

Use heater treater parts for replacement.

Default thanks

Thanks for the imfo .Much appreciated.great place to get imfo for my rams.Going to give this imfo to my buddy mechanic to give me a price labor.Little more work than I am willing to get wrong. While I am here and new wanted to let known a problem I had on my 2500.2 years ago I would hit a bump in the road or pothole and would get severe tire hop and steering out of control. To the point I thought I was going to lose control of the truck. Not fun when towing a 20 foot bass boat at 70.Turns out low tire pressure in my Michelin Lt 245 70R 17's could NOT believe that would happen with just low tire pressure, the cars around me actually scattered like flies when they saw it Quite scary.WELL THAT WILL LEARN YA.I check my tire pressure once a week.

I highly recommend dealer parts. There are new clips that have stop built into them. It is a very easy job to pull the dash out and then remove heater box. I would never cut anything open. Do it right or don't do it. I just replaced mine 2 weeks ago. Buddy and I had it done in 4&1/2 hours.

All previous responces could very well be correct. My problem turned out to be the "fan speed- temp. selector". I found this AFTER tearing my dash apart to get at my blend doors and found them to work fine. $ 125.00 later I had defrost air again.
