Default P0441 Evap Purge System Performance

So If it ain't one thing its another..... I have to be getting close to having a new truck with all the S*^% I have fixed on mine.... So My check engine light came on and thanks to my trusty super chip programmer this is the code that came up...... Now I know this is a common problem with our wonderful Chrysler products so before I freak out and have to take it to a shop and they rack my bill up testing the complete emission system those of you that have had this code pop up, what did you do to fix it ? Yes Yes I have used the search function and found all types of things it could be just wanting to know from personal experience from you all. Trying to keep from having yet another $1000 repair bill. I will start tomorrow with the easiest solution ( I am not this lucky ) a new gas cap.... At least I was able to get my damn tires before something else went wrong....... Good thing they don't have returns on those.

I had a hose broken on the canister, as your truck is also old it could be a similar problem, climb under and have a peek.

Evap system map in FAQ section. Trace the lines, you'll find a cracked one or a bad clamp somewhere along it. I'd start around the canister...

So a lot of the stuff is up on top looking at the diagram. Do i need to drop my tank ? Or should I be able to get at everything ? I won't get a chance to check it until Monday.

I had a 0440 the other day; turns out my left cat converter got hot enough to melt the plastic EVAP hoses that run next to it! I cut out the bad stuff and replaced it with some 3/8" and 9/16" fuel hose. Still chasing a 0456. I tried the gas cap also, even greased the seal to no avail.
Hammer, thanks for the diagram.
