Default headers

Hi. I'm new to the forum though I've been monitoring it for months. I recently installed a set of Gibson shorty headers on my 4.7 but the big loop on the driver,s side rubs against my stearing column. I had to remove the stearing boot just to get it to fit. It is supposed to fit the 04-05s. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Welcome to Dodge Forum.

It's not uncommon for things to rub a bit with headers. Unless the interference is real bad, you can notch the headers without any worry of performance loss.

Thanks for the input. I guess that I would have thought that they could have bent the header pipe in a little to clear the stearing column since it was supposed to fit.
