Trouble code 41 50, now what?

Trouble code 41 50, now what?
Driving today and suddenly MIL light came on 41 50.
Wiper switch circuit open
What does that mean? Bad wiper motor? Which one? Left or right?
And where did it get the "50" from since it just popped on and I scanned the code immediately?
Thoughts and help? It is raining out and the wipers were on. Thanks

Page 522 of 2627 in the 04 Srvc man might help out a bit.
The 50 means this have been an issue for the last 50 key cycles.
Do your wipers work as the normally should?
Check section 8R in the same 04 Srv Man for more info or page 1006 of 2627
