I just bought a 2007 3500 dually with a cummins 6-speed. When you turn on the left turn signal it blinks ok for about 5 seconds then I hear a chime and the blinker starts to blink much faster. The right side does not do this. What causes it to blink faster?

 

either a short some where with a left side light or a turn signal may be out

 

Huh, isn't that what I told ya?

 

Agreed. Anytime a light is out or going out there is a chime to get your attention to look at the instrument cluster and it always blinks faster when a light is out.

 

The light itself blinks fast as well, along with the light in the dash.

The lights blink normal for about 3-5 seconds, then the chime, then fast blinks (dash light and turn signal lights). It is only on the driver side.
