Since the flap will be flat against the paint do you think you could spray rustproofing (3M) along the contact area for best protection? I've been wondering if to flap mine or not but for sure would get the molded OEM ones. I see them on some of our sponsor sites and on eBay.
I'm not familiar with the spray-on rustproofing. I suppose it would protect OK.

I think I may run over to the local dodge dealer and trade these out and pay the difference for the molded ones.....I held them up to the truck, and it just didn't look right to me......I saw the molded ones on ebay, but didn't want to pay that......but guess I need to. Thanks for all the responses.

Well, I decided to stick with the flaps I got. I called the local Dodge dealership, and they only had the ones I have now, and would have to order a set of the nice molded ones. So, I busted out the tools and put the back ones on. The first side was a pain in the ***....as I had to eyeball it and all. Other rear, I just took the measurements off the first one, and it worked out perfect. They actually look really good on the truck. I will post picks here as soon as I can. As far as the front, I haven't done them yet, but will tackle them early next week.
